WILMINGTON- Bette D. Block, “Mrs. B”, 91, of Wilmington, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1925, to the late Hans and Sophia Danker.
She enjoyed working in the yard and enjoyed living and working near the beach, Known to many as “Mrs. B,” she was happiest around people and laughter.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Clarence Russell Block; step-mother, Rosa Bruns and daughter, Deborah Rose Block.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Block Weide, Tina Block Carter; grandchildren, Heather Weide Brown, Amber Weide Kollar, Jason Russell Carter and Joshua Aaron Carter; along with eight great-grandchildren
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016 at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service.
