CAROLINA SHORES – Leon John Paulikas, 75, of Carolina Shores, North Carolina, died Sept. 21, 2016.

He was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Camden, New Jersey, the son of the late Leon J. and Petronella Matucewice Paulikas. He retired from Campbell Soup Company as a maintenance manager and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Paulikas was a life member of Palmyra Fire Department and former member of the Palmyra Board of Education in Palmyra, New Jersey and former member of Calabash Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Annabel Stringfellow Paulikas; daughters, Sarah Hager (Scott) of Schaumburg, Illinois, and Sandy Knese (Rob) of Havertown, Pennsylvania; brother, William Paulikas (Janis) of Ijamsville, Maryland; grandchildren, Annabelle and Cooper Knese; nieces, Nicole Daw and Jill Seaman and his canine companion, Mia.

The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel from 2-4 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m.,Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Riverton, New Jersey. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery, Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

Memorials may be directed to the Brunswick County Sheriffs Animal Adoption Program, 429 Green Swamp Road, Supply, NC 28462.
