WILMINGTON — Beth Ann Urmy, age 54, of Wilmington, formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at her home, in the warm embrace of her family, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on May 9, 1962, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Sue Waligora.
Beth worked as a Safety Specialist for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
Together with her parents Beth is survived by her husband, Scott Urmy of Wilmington; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Ehren Siefers of Wilmington, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Jennifer Urmy of Bettendorf, Iowa; and granddaughter Vaughn whom she adored. She is also survived by her sisters Karen Darrow and Lynn Uphoff, both of Bettendorf, Iowa.
