OCEAN ISLE BEACH — John Phillip Stanforth, 87, resident of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., died Nov. 5, 2016. Born in Greene County, Ohio, on Oct. 16, 1929, he was the son of the late John B. and Sylvia Gildow Stanforth.
Surviving are his wife Mary Glass Stanforth, two daughters Sheri Lynn Stanforth, Ocean Isle Beach, NC and Jeri Sue Pitstick (Ted), Wallace, NC, two sisters Mary Pitstick, St Cloud, FL and Linda Lanker, Xenia, OH, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Gene Stanforth.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at 3 p.m., in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
