WILMINGTON — Louis Anthony Celender, 87, of Wilmington, North Carolina, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.
He was born Pittsburgh, Penn., on May 5, 1929, to the late Louis and Margaret Hartman Celender. He was also preceded in death by three sisters.
He was an electrical engineer and manager at IBM for 33 years, Korean War Veteran, volunteered with Sheriff for Kids Program and was a member of Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife Pat, one daughter, two sons, two stepdaughters, seven grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6650 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412 with Father John McGee officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Cape Fear Hospice or Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
