Deborah Lynne Johnson, 59, loved playing an extra in the film and television industry

RICHLANDS — Deborah Lynne Johnson passed away Sept. 21, 2016, in Richlands, N.C., after a seven-month battle with cancer. She was born April 18, 1957, in Southport, N.C.

She graduated from John T. Hoggard High School in 1975.

Debbie loved playing an extra in the film and TV industry. She had appearances in “The Devil’s Hand,” “Ironman 3,” “We’re the Millers,” “A Short History of Decay,” “Adrenaline,” “Bolden,””Dale Archdale,” “Hollow Oak,” “River Guard,” “Sleepy Hollow,” “Under the Dome,” “Tammy,” “The Choice,” “Red Zone,” “The Longest Ride” and “The Remaining.’

She is survived by her husband, Victor W. Kolp of Richlands, N.C.; mother, Bernice Hewett Johnson of Wilmington, N.C.; sister, Gail Johnson Milliken, and her husband, Wayne, of Wilmington, N.C.; daughter, Hope Keith Spicer, and her husband, Billy Spicer Sr., of Richlands, N.C.; daughter, Joy Tuggle of Richlands, N.C.; daughter, Elizabeth Twigg Eubanks, and her husband, Eric, of Jacksonville, N.C.; Holly Johnson Rodden, and her husband, Randy, of San Antonio, Texas; son, Jeremiah Edward Johnson, and his wife, Ramona, of Abilene, Texas; daughter, Tabitha Twigg of Toledo, Ohio; and Haley Twigg Augustin of Jacksonville, N.C. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren.

A celebration of life service was held  Sunday, Sept. 25, at Freedom Baptist Church, 820 N. College Road, Wilmington, NC 28405. Pastor Dodd Mays officiated the service.

The family offers special thanks to Freedom Baptist Church, Ogden Baptist Church, Lower Cape Fear Hospice, and all the medical staff at Onslow Memorial Hospital that provided care.
