WILMINGTON — Anne Heins Lamson, 91, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016. She was born in Atlanta, Ga., on June 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Harry Alfred Heins and Annie deJarnette Heins.
Mrs. Lamson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She accompanied her husband to Army postings around the world for more than three decades. She enjoyed travel, reading and cooking. She was a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A lifelong Episcopalian, she was most recently a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Lamson.
She is survived by her children, Philip H. Lamson, and his wife, Nina Lamson, of Decatur, Ga., Nancy K. Lamson, and her husband, Robert Hollister, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Brooke Lamson and her husband, Thomas Pollard, of Wilmington, N.C., and Alice H. Lamson of Chapel Hill, N.C. Also surviving are grandchildren, Marian H. Lamson, Elizabeth Anne Pollard, Alice K. Pollard, and her husband, Grant Hetherton, Thomas P. Lamson and Kelton Hollister.
Services will be private.
