WILMINGTON — Dolores Delight Powell Euverard, 103, passed away at her home Monday, Dec. 12, 2016.
She was born in Canal Fulton County of March 27, 1913, daughter of the late Adrian Powell and Vernice Jenkins Powell. Mrs. Euverard was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Surviving are her sons, Gary B. Euverard Sr. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Wilmington, N.C., and Dennis C. Euverard of Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Diane Euverard of Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren, Gary B. Euverard Jr., Amy L. Euverard and Rick Euverard; great-grandchildren, Trey Euverard and Hannah Dicksey; and sisters-in-law, Myrna McKie (Jimmy) and Sister Elise (Zoe) Euverard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. Euverard; son, Bruce R. Euverard; and granddaughter, Tracy Euverard.
A funeral Mass will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 15, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 209 S. Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach. Entombment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Euverard’s family wishes to offer special thanks to her caregivers, Carolyn, Ellen, and Latoya.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
