BOILING SPRING LAKES – William Thomas “Will” Jones Jr., 46, of Boiling Spring Lakes, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 5, 1970, in New Hanover County. He graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1988. He was a superintendent for LM McLamb & Son Construction. He enjoyed football and NASCAR racing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children. He was a wonderful father, son and brother.
Survivors include his father, William Thomas Jones and wife, Phyllis; his mother Patricia Byrd and husband, Kenneth; a son, William Thomas Jones, III; a daughter Savannah Elizabeth Jones; two brothers, Michael Jones and Brandon Griffin and wife Kayla; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Fairley Jones; and his maternal grandparents, Albert and Dorothy Saunders.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016 at Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
