LELAND — Charles Durwood Warren Jr., 50, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, in South Carolina.
He was born April 11, 1966, in New Hanover County and had worked as a pipefitter for many years.
To Charles, everybody was his family, he loved everyone and had never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Sasser Warren; and his brother, Robert Warren.
He is survived by his father, Charles D. Warren Sr. of Leland; children, Charles D. Warren III of Leland, Samantha Warren of Stanley and Kristopher Warren of Wilmington; sister, Brenda Eldridge, and her husband, Gary, of Chipley, Fla.; and grandchildren, Kaylee and Elijah Hoey.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, Leland.
