

WILMINGTON — Robert Campbell “Cam” Morgan Jr., 63, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017. He was born Aug. 22, 1953, in Arlington, Va., was raised in Winston-Salem, N.C., and had been a longtime resident of Wilmington, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine; two children, Robert and Rebecca; daughter-in-law, Liz; granddaughter, Amelia Laine; sister, Alexis Morgan; and brother, Philip Morgan.
Cam graduated from RJ Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem in 1972 and attended Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, N.C. He was a longtime sales representative in the furniture industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, fishing and working around the house. He also appreciated a cold Sun Drop and never understood why his kids didn’t want to watch NASCAR and take naps.
A visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the family home. A brief service will follow at 3 p.m. in Oleander Memorial Gardens off of Bradley Drive.
