WILMINGTON — Hazel Delores Judd, 85, passed away Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Northchase Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born Aug. 18, 1931, in New Hanover County, N.C., the daughter of the late James D. Odum and Hazel Padrick Odum.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Richard Judd; and son, Michael Dean Register.
Delores grew up in the Carolina Beach area. She enjoyed baking, made a delicious array of cakes and enjoyed spending time with her family. She worked for numerous years at the Carolina Beach A&P Grocery Store and later at Monty’s.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, William Stanley Register, and his wife, Jeanne, and Richard Kelly Judd, and his wife, Christine; grandchildren, Blake Gagnon, Whitney Judd, Laura and Bill Register, Kevin Lawrie (Karen), Tim Lawrie and Bobby and Liz Holovina; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Stone and Janet Hewett (Henry); and numerous other loving family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home, Wilmington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery.
