

Paul Ray Moore, 68, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice while resting peacefully. Paul was born Sept. 30, 1948, in Mecklenburg County to the late Lucy Mae Carter Moore.
After graduating from West Lincoln High School in 1967, Paul later served his country as a Marine and was honorably discharged as a decorated Vietnam veteran, having received the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry Bronze Star. In 1975, Paul joined what would be a successful career with Drucker and Falk for over 40 years, where he worked through the ranks to become one of their most valued regional property managers. Among his many accomplishments, Paul was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award and was a multi-term president and a multi-term legislative chair holder for WAA.
As a devoted friend, father and grandfather, Paul will be remembered for his unwavering love, infectious strength and contagious smile. He is survived by his two daughters, Bethany Messina and Jenna Meek; son, Jonathon Walkup; daughter-in-law, Cassie Walkup; son-in-law, Daniel Messina; future son-in-law, Konstantin Vasserman; and his four granddaughters, Kali Raizel Walkup, Kynne Zaide Walkup, Sienna Elizabeth Messina and Celeste Moore Messina.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Andrews Mortuary & Crematory, 1617 Market St., Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice of Wilmington.
