WILMINGTON — Diane McLawhorn, 69, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1947. Her parents were Zell Norris Phillips and Earlene Gladson Phillips. Diane grew up in Pitt County, N.C.
Diane was a licensed optician and worked at VisionWorks in Wilmington for many years. She was a member of Grace Point Community Church in Leland. She had a passion for animals, cooking, entertaining, gardening and spending time with her friends.
Diane is survived by her three cats, P.K., Zoey and Jackson; and many friends and professional associates who she loved very much.

A memorial celebration of life ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
