WILMINGTON — Peggy Brooks Allen, 73, passed away peacefully Friday, March 10, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James B. “Jimmy” Allen Jr.; four children, Jammie Stanley, Jennifer Allen, James B. Allen III and Floyd J. Allen, and his wife, Marian O’Grady Allen; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and three sisters, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Peggy’s honor.
