WILMINGTON — Sandra Faye Millican Garrenton Davis, 65, born Oct. 26, 1951, passed away at her home Sunday, March 12, 2017.
Faye is survived by her husband, William R. “Dick” Davis, and her beloved pet, Zack; and one brother, Allen Millican. Also survived by Rick (Sharon), Sean (Sherry) and Scott (Katrina) Davis; two granddaughters, Valerie and Rebecca; one grandson, Scotty; and her cousins, Eddie Carter (Jeanette), Glenda Longo (Duane) Sandy doCarmo (David) and Glen Murvin (Diana), who were referred to by Faye as her brothers and sisters.
Faye was preceded in death by her father, Sam Millican, and her beloved mother, Rose Millican; and aunt, Kathleen, and uncle, Glennie Murvin, who were second parents to her.
Faye retired from New Hanover Medical Group after 30 years of dedicated service. Faye was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church for many years. Faye was also a huge Dale Earnhardt fan. Faye was loved by everyone who met her, she was the most unselfish person you could ever meet. She loved her family and her friends and was devoted to her husband, Dick. Her family and friends have been truly blessed to be a part of her life. She will be missed terribly, but we know she is in the arms of our Lord and Savior, and we have a very special angel looking down on us.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 17, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
