WILMINGTON — Raymond Philip “Ray Ray” Kain V, 17, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017.
Raymond was born Nov. 30, 1999, in Pittsburgh, Penn., the son of Raymond Philip Kain IV and Michelle Elizabeth Hajec. He was a student at Hoggard High School, where he participated in the ROTC program. Raymond worked at Pizza Hut in Wilmington. He had a love for motorsports, mud racing, motorcycles and four-wheelers. Raymond was a kind and loving person, a hardworking, well-mannered, young man who loved animals.
In addition to his parents, Raymond is survived by his sister, Zoe Samantha Kain; brother, Matt Hunter Matthews; paternal grandparents, Raymond Philip Kain III, and his wife, Mary K.; maternal grandparents, Sandie Opferman, and her husband, Bill; girlfriend, Millie Tieder; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at the Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from noon to 6 p.m. prior to the service.
