CALABASH — Florence Thompson Smith, 74, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017.
Born in Delano, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 15, 1942, the daughter of the late John Thompson and Virginia Bones Thompson. She was also preceded in death by her grandchild, Christopher Michael Smith.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Burton Smith; son, Robert ‘Bob’ Smith (Michelle) of Penndel, Pennsylvania; daughter, Teresa Susco of Mantua, New Jersey; brother, John Thompson, of Philadelphia; sister, Judith Stefencavage of Bensalem, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren, Anthony Michael Susco, Robert Anthony Smith and Grace Antoinette McDonald; and two great-grandchildren, Ava Rose Susco and Logan Thomas Susco.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon Thursday, March 23, at St. Brendan’s the Navigator Roman Catholic Church in Shallotte, North Carolina.
