WINNABOW — Elsie May Reeves Wolfe, 94, died Friday, March 24, 2017. She was born Jan. 29, 1923, to Albert Reeves and Lula Williams Reeves.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also the eldest member of Town Creek Baptist Church. Elsie was always available to help others who were in need. She had a life well lived.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Wolfe; and sister, Mary Margrette Nobles.
She is survived by her daughters, Wilda Pygott Rogers of Winnabow, N.C., and Linda Pygott Wolfe Teachey of Rocky Point, N.C.; son, Robert Pygott of Jacksonville, Fla.; sisters Dorothy Boswell of Boiling Springs, N.C., and Virginia Boling of Portsmouth, Va.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service with Pastor Vic Potter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial will follow services in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
