WILMINGTON — Austin Martin Jackson, 50, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born in Wilmington on Feb. 10, 1967, to Austin and Doris Jackson.
Austin was a professional auto and truck mechanic and most recently worked for K&L Automotive and formerly with Lovitts Automotive. He enjoyed NASCAR and Carolina Panthers Football, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Odum Jackson; two children, Austin Martin Jackson Jr. and Madison Jackson; two sisters, Brenda Harrison and Wanda Carter; mother-in-law and father in-law, Kitty and Bruce Odum; brother in-law, David Odum; nieces and nephews, including Miranda, Jason and Jessica; and his special dog, ‘T.J.’
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 3, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel officiated by the Rev. Rudy Shepard. Burial will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
