

SHALLOTTE — June Elizabeth Stanley, 72, of died Tuesday, April 4, 2017. June was born in Brunswick County Aug. 4, 1944, and was the daughter of the late William Amos Stanley and Grace Gurganus Stanley.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Farmer; and godson, Brian Chestnut.
June was a lover of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was proud of her personal relationship with him. She also loved her family very much, especially her three best friends, which were her daughters. She dearly admired her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping and doing for others, especially the elderly. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed fishing.
She is survived by her daughters, Sarah Farmer, and her husband, Chris, of Shallotte, Lorrie Vann, and her husband, Curtiss, of Castle Hayne, and Christy Bowens, and her husband, Shoun, of Shallotte; grandchildren, Jared Farmer, Neil Williams, Zachery Bowens, and his girlfriend, Bethany, and Grace Brown, and her husband, Hunter; great-grandchildren, Lindzey, Katie, Haley and June; significant other, Randy Cox, and his family of Shallotte; sister-in-law, Jan Stanley of Shallotte; and special nephew, Len Maready of Florida.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m., Friday, April 7, at Jennies Branch Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Shelor officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends are invited to a time of visitation with the family at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday and other times at the home of Sarah and Chris Farmer.
