CASTLE HAYNE — Kaitlyn Alexandria Hinson, 24, passed away unexpectedly at her residence Saturday, April 22, 2017. She was born Nov. 22, 1992, in Wilmington, N.C., the daughter of Christopher Shane Hinson and the late Kristy Cameron Hinson.
She attended Emsley A. Laney High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She spent a lot of time on social media catching up with old friends. She enjoyed art, music, reading books and watching movies. Hobbies that seemed to relax her were drawing, coloring and writing poetry. She had started writing a book earlier this year about her lifelong battle with diabetes and depression.
She was preceded in death by her mother and maternal grandparents, Dannie Cameron and Joyce Jerue Cameron of Castle Hayne.
She is survived by her brother, Cameron Hinson of Castle Hayne; parents, Rob Morrow and Jennifer Cameron Morrow; children, Kayleigh Morrow and Will Morrow of Castle Hayne; biological father, Shane Hinson of Yadkinville, N.C., and his children, Gage Hinson and Alison Hinson; grandparents, Robert Morrow and Sharon Johnson Morrow of Wilmington, N.C.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be lovingly remembered as a special girl with a good heart. She was always trying to help those less fortunate than herself. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 28, at Andrews Mortuary, 1617 Market St., Wilmington. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at The Church of God, 246 Middlesound Loop Road, Wilmington.
