WILMINGTON — Doris Jean Williams, 83, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at her home in the warm embrace of her family.
She was born in Wilmington March 8, 1934, the daughter of Jake Willetts and Mittie Ray Carroll Willetts.
Doris is survived by her children, Tony Williams Jr. and his wife, Barbara, Sandra Farrow and her husband, Robert, Debra Ferguson and her husband, Paul, Connie Cameron and Donald Williams; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Together with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Williams Sr.; and grandchildren, Sandra Bernice Starling and Daniel Williams.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
