WILMINGTON — Justin Kyle Rogers, 22, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017, and is now at peace and in the arms of his heavenly Father.
He was born Sept. 10, 1994, in Wilmington, N.C. Justin graduated from Hoggard High School in Wilmington in 2013. He enjoyed Atlanta Braves Baseball, had a love of sugary snacks of all kinds and listening to his favorite music on his iPod. Justin loved to walk and could be found walking his favorite paths in Rocky Point or Castle Hayne with a frequent stop at his grandmother’s house.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bruce Rogers.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted parents, Doug Ramsey Rogers and Heather Chaney Rogers of Rocky Point, N.C.; brother, Josh Taylor Rogers; paternal grandmother, Gail Rogers; maternal grandfather, Dennis Chaney, and his wife, Gail; maternal grandmother, Pam Idol, and her husband, James; and numerous other loving family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 1, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Wilmington Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Cape Fear Free Will Baptist Church, 5350 Holly Tree Road, Wilmington, with Pastor Pat Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
