
CAPE FEAR — Rose Kaleel Bissette, 61, passed away peacefully at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center Tuesday, May 9, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer.
Rose was born on March 20, 1956, in Clinton, N.C., the daughter of the late Richard Thomas Kaleel Sr. and late Carol Price Kaleel.
She is survived by her husband, Jack C. Bissette Jr., and their two sons, Jack C. Bissette III (Jennifer) of Raleigh and Thomas Kaleel Bissette (Stanton) of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Cecelia Rose Bissette, Jack C. Bissette IV, Thomas Kaleel Bissette Jr. and Hobbs Allen Bissette; brother, Richard Thomas Kaleel Jr. (Helen) of Clinton, N.C.; and two nieces, Ana Rose Kaleel Holler (Adrian) of Goldsboro and Caroline Elizabeth Kaleel (fiancé, Matthew Evans) of Clayton.
Rose was a graduate of Campbell University. She retired as an elementary school teacher after 28 years. She was also an active member of First Baptist Church and the Cape Fear Garden Club.
The family will greet friends at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 13, at First Baptist Church, immediately followed by a service honoring her life at 2 p.m.
