

WILMINGTON – Miss Joyce Ann Parsons, 67, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, surrounded by her family after a long illness.
Miss Parsons was born July 28, 1949, in Carter County, Tennessee, to the late Lee Willard Parsons and Margaret Helen Trusler.
She was the joy of her family’s lives, always joking and playing tricks on people. Her hobbies were jigsaw puzzles, checkers, bingo, coloring, rug hooking and beading.
She is survived by two sisters; Elizabeth Pajares and husband, Richard, and JoBell Wilson of Wilmington; three brothers, Oscar Lee Parsons and wife, Nancy, of Warner Robbins, Georgia, Donald Parsons and wife, Janet, of Pine Mountain, Georgia, and Thomas Parsons and wife, Cathy, of Columbus, Georgia; four nieces, Barbara Selph and husband, Mike, of Cape Coral, Florida, Dawn Marie Pajares of Columbia, South Carolina, Ann Wilson Brennan and husband, Blaise, of Severna Park, Maryland, and Donna Wilson Maccalupo of Wilmington, North Carolina; two nephews, Richard William Pajares and wife, Tina, of Columbia, South Carolina and Joseph Wilson and Lucianna of Wilmington.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Home. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Davis Nursing Home for their care and patience with their wonderful, loving sister and a special thank you to Hospice for all their help and care.
