Beulah B. Phillips, 88, known for her gentle spirit and caring nature

WILMINGTON — Beulah B. Phillips, 88, of Wilmington, passed away on  Oct. 5, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Wilmington, North Carolina.  She was born on May 25, 1928, to Henry and Annie Jackson Bullock in Fairmont, North Carolina.

She was a long time member at Wrightsville Beach Baptist Church and cared deeply for her church family.  She was also a member at College Acres Baptist Church.

Beulah is survived by her children, Wilton H. Phillips, II of Wilmington, Ronald Phillips and spouse Mary Gwen Phillips of Mebane, North Carolina, Pat Andrews of Ogden, North Carolina, and Beth Martin of Wilmington.  She is also survived by four grandchildren and her brother, Thomas Nelson Bullock of Wilmington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.

She had a deep faith in God and was known for her gentle spirit, sweet smile, and caring nature.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”  Matthew 5:8

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day…”  2 Timothy 2:7-8

Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Andrews Market Street Chapel, Wilmington.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, 1 p.m. at Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead, North Carolina, with Rev. Danny Hawkins, officiating.

Burial will take place in  Sea Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
