WILMINGTON — Donald Ray Purvis, 70, of Wilmington, N.C., died Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born March 14, 1946, in Asheboro, N.C.
Donald was a good Christian man, who loved the Lord, his wife and his church. He proudly served 22 years in the US Army.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Jacqueline Young Purvis; daughter, Dawn Renee Purvis Loudenbach and husband Joe; son, Thaddeus Purvis; grandson, Zack Loudenbach; step-grandchildren, Joshua Weishap and Brandy Striker; several step-great-grandchildren and many other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct 22, 2016, at Seaside Chapel, 100 south 8th Street, Carolina Beach, NC 28428.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Seaside Chapel in memory of Donald.
