

HAMPSTEAD — Kelley Batts Mino, 47, of Hampstead, N.C., and Lorton, Va., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
Born July 19, 1969, in Honolulu, Hawaii, she is a daughter of Wayne Garfield Batts and Barbara Jeanne Lindsay Batts. In addition to her parents, Kelley is survived by her husband of 16 years, Dion L. Mino; her children, Nathan Mino and Nolyn Mino; her brother, Dennis Batts and his wife, Jennifer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kelley graduated from Woodbridge High School in Woodbridge, Va. She had a love of animals and enjoyed her work taking care of them and giving them comfort.
Kelley is remembered as a person who embodied passion and forgiveness, strength and courage – those who witnessed this were better for knowing her. She had an infectious smile to go with her lovely eyes and was born to be a mother which shined through with her ferocious love for her children. Kelley is synonymous with Love.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at Batts Family Cemetery in Hampstead. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel.
