Lori Ann Miles Jordan, 56, formerly of Warren, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at her home in North Carolina on Nov. 23, 2016.
Born on May 29, 1960, in Royal Oak, Mich., Lori was the loving daughter of Shirley and Homer Miles Jr.
Lori was a 1977 graduate of Howland High School and spent her senior year in Brazil as an exchange student. She developed cherished friendships from that experience and considers her Brazilian friends to be an extension of her family.
Lori enjoyed painting, reading, arts and crafts and going to the beach. Lori’s greatest passion in her life was the love of her family and friends, especially spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dog, Max.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Jordan; two daughters, Amanda (Brent) Owens and Sara Johnson; one son, Lucas Hanshaw; two grandchildren, Kaycie Bell and Divinity Owens; her mother, Shirley Miles, two sisters, Shari (Dave) Bookman and Barbara Miles; one brother, Steve (Lucretia) Miles; five nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and two great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Homer Miles Jr.; and mother-in-law, Margaret “Tuey” Stuart.
