WILMINGTON — Christopher Russell “Russ” Haynes, 37, of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016.
Russ was born in Greenville, N.C., on Sept. 22, 1979. He enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, spending time with friends and family, and playing board games, particularly Risk, with his family. He loved all animals and was always fixing things and helping others.
Russ is survived by his mother, Evelyn Milne Haynes of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; father, Charles David Haynes, and his companion, Dawn, of Wilmington, N.C.; brother, Wesley Haynes, and his wife, Brittany, of Castle Hayne, N.C.; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Milne of Charleston, S.C., as well as numerous uncles, aunts and other extended family members.
A celebration of life memorial ceremony will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. We would like to welcome all who knew and loved him to join our family in celebration of his life.
