WILMINGTON — Jack W. Campbell died Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at his home with his family by his side. Jack was born in Poland, Ohio, and served in the U.S. Navy.
He preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Simcox Campbell; father, Thomas Campbell; and his son, Michael Campbell.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Gerry Campbell; son, John Campbell of New Jersey; daughters, Margaret Ghalayini of Arizona, and Elizabeth Crace and Jennifer Harrison, both of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren, Samantha Campbell, Sierra Campbell, Jake Campbell, Livia Ghalayini, Alexa Crace and Michael and Jack Harrison.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18, at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, 3915 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC 28403.
A funeral Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 6650 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412 with Father John McGee officiating. Military honors will follow with the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard officiating.
