WILMINGTON – Mary Morse Keplinger of Wilmington, North Carolina, formerly of Carolina Beach, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, surrounded by her family at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1930, in Birmingham, Alabma, the daughter of the late Fred and Zannie Morse. She was the youngest and last living of her four siblings — two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy K. Cox (husband Joe) of Greensboro and Mary K. Anderson (husband Wayne) of Wilmington; rour grandchildren, Christopher and Carlton Cox, Rosemary A. Perreault and Matthew Anderson.
Mrs. Keplinger retired from the New Hanover County Social Services in 1992.
She was a resident of Carolina Beach for 40 years. She moved to Wilmington in 2009 and resided at The Woods of Holly Tree until January 2016. She then moved to Champions at The Davis Community.
The family will receive friends from 2 -3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Andrews Valley Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Butch Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
