WILMINGTON — Albert Leland Cherry, 74, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2016, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born on April 4, 1942, in New Hanover County, the son of Joseph Leland Cherry and Jacqueline Edens Cherry. Albert served his country with honor and distinction in the U.S. Navy.
A service to celebrate Albert’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Winter Park Presbyterian Church, 4501 Wrightsville Ave., Wilmington, NC 28403.
