WILMINGTON — On Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, April Marie Daugherty (Schoolcraft), 24, passed away. She was born in Chesapeake, Va., on April 29, 1992.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Daugherty Sr.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Ryan Schoolcraft; mother, Roberta; brothers and sisters, Dennis Jr., Tammy and Kimberly. April cherished her family and her many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
April had a beautiful baby girl, Autumn Marie, whom she loved enough to place with a loving, adoptive family. April was a very vibrant, free-spirited and bright young woman who always brought a smile to all who knew her.
She enjoyed listening to Evanescence, riding her bike, and helping others, even when she herself needed help. She is loved and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
On Friday, Jan. 27, a candlelight vigil will be held in her memory at 6:30 p.m. on the corner of 17th Street and Shipyard Boulevard in Wilmington.
