WINNABOW – Hiram ‘Kip’ Lester Milligan Jr., 60, of Winnabow, died at home on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016.
He was born May 14, 1956 in Southport, North Carolina, son of the late Hiram Lester Milligan Sr. and Eula Mae Long Milligan. His nephew, William Michael Holland, preceded him in death.
He dedicated his working years to the CP & L nuclear plant, a career he truly loved. He loved to spend time with his friends and family, duck hunting, fishing and cheering on his beloved Tarheels. He will be remembered as a loving, kind, unselfish man, who above all, wanted to share his love for God and Jesus Christ, his savior, with everyone. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by two sisters, Amanda M. Smith and Lynda D. Holland; step-daughter, Ashley Kaplan; two nephews, William John Burkhart, III (Lauren) and Christopher Jason Holland (Kristin); and two great-nephews, William Daniel Holland and Jason Jordan Clemmer.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
