WILMINGTON — Robert Raymond Witkowski, 80, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born March 17, 1936, in New York, N.Y., to the late Raymond Witkowski and Josephine Tockash Witkowski.
Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956. He was an active member of the Marine Corps League Cape Fear Detachment No. 1070.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Michael and Helen.
Survivors include his loving wife, Marylyn Witkowski; daughters, Cherylyn Berrio (Raymond), Loren LaPierre (the late Thomas) and Debra Farley (Christopher); eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Capotosto.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
