

WILMINGTON — Diana ‘Diane’ Lewis Davis, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Monday, Feb. 20, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. She was born on March 5, 1945, to Alvie and Viva Clemmons Lewis in Southport, N.C.
Diane’s love for the Lord was shown in everything she did. Her thoughtfulness, kindness and compassion radiated from within her. Diane loved to play the piano and sing especially with her two sisters at their three-day-long pajama parties.
Diana is survived by her son, David Eugene Davis of Rocky Point; daughter, Crystal Davis Swift, and her husband, John III, of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Christopher Hewett, Steven Hewett, Jonathan Davis and Brittani Davis; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Aria; two sisters, Erma Lou Tatum of Bolivia and Prudy Robinson of Holden Beach; brother, Alvie Earl Lewis of Bolivia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ken Davis, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Grace 210, 180 NC-210 West, Hampstead, with the Rev. Jeff Brunsink officiating. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park, Hampstead. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
