WILMINGTON — Ubert H. Flack, 86, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017.
He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Rutherford County, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Mills Flack and Inez Dobbins Flack; son, Kevin Flack in 2014; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Flack in 2013.
Ubert was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He was a professional salesman and warehouse manager for several supply companies, including Macs Auto Parts, Jewell-Stickland Auto Parts, Graves and Butler Electric Supply Companies. He enjoyed bowling and fishing in his leisure time. Ubert was a dedicated Christian and loved his Savior Jesus Christ.
Ubert is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Fay Flack; three sons, Jeff Flack (girl friend, Debby); Mike Flack , and his wife, Lori; and Curtis Flack (girlfriend, Frances); granddaughters, Beth, Lindsey (husband, T.J.); grandsons, Kyle (wife, Meghan), Corey and Connor; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Hunter; one brother, Jack Flack, and his wife, Kim; one sister, Cynthia Mullikin; and nephew Rick Mullikin, and his wife, Amy.
The family will see friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, N.C.
