WILMINGTON — Mary Nell Piver Bowden, 80, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017. She was the widow of Marshall B. Bowden and daughter of the late Robert M. Piver Sr. and Juanita Harper Piver.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert M. Piver Jr.
Mrs. Bowden is survived by five children, Marshall B. Bowden Jr., Charles A. Bowden III, MacDonald Snow Bowden, Mary Rebecca Thompson and Elizabeth A. Bowden; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, E. Snow Piver and Forrest Lee Piver; and sister, Betty Piver Sheppard.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert Bayley, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.
