Jean O. Coffey, 91, the last of 11 siblings, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017. Her devoted husband, Gerald Coffey, preceded her in death.
Standing in her wake are her beloved children: son, Ron Thompson, and his wife, Bobbi; daughter, Nancy Blanton, and her husband, Richard; granddaughters, Crystal Cegielski, and her husband, Neil, Shannon Laney and Wendy Young; and seven great-grandchildren to carry on her family ties.
We will miss her loving smile, wonderful sense of humor and generous nature. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, grandparent, neighbor and friend. She gave us roots as well as wings. Godspeed, Mom, onto your final destination. I know Dad is waiting.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, at Oleander Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington.
