LELAND — Sarah L. ‘Lois’ Tidd, 89, died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Brunswick Cove Nursing Center.
Lois was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Wilmington, N.C., daughter of the late John W. Godwin Sr. and Ethel Holmes Godwin.
Lois was the bookkeeper at Rehder’s Florist for several years and at Guyton’s Food Store for approximately 10 years. She was a very devoted and active member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two brothers, J.W. Godwin Jr., and his wife, Katherine, of Wilmington, and David H. Godwin, and his wife, Evelyn, of Wallace, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Andrews Market Street Chapel. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
