WILMINGTON — Margaret Mary ‘Peg’ Mueller Hiban, 87, formerly of Pennington, N.J., and North Fort Myers, Fla., passed gently from her earthly life on Thursday, March 2, 2017, surrounded by her beloved and devoted husband of 65 years, Louis Hiban, and loved ones in the comfort of her own home.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Aug. 5, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Margaret Mary Mueller and was preceded in death by her loving brother, Oscar Mueller.

Margaret Mary ‘Peg’ lived a life of joy and faith, which she passed onto her six children, 17 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She is survived by her four sons, Louis(Kathleen) Hiban of Washington Crossing, Pa., Christopher (Sija) Hiban of New Hope, Pa., Brian (Donna) Hiban of Pennington, N.J., Darrin( Esperanza) Hiban of Morganville, N.J.; and two daughters, Randi (Patrick) McQuillan and Karen(Richard) Hill of Southport, N.C.

Peg loved her retirement years in Florida and enjoyed tap dancing, golf, ceramics and spending time with all of her friends, especially Elaine Kaydo. Summer months were spent at their home at the Regency in North Wildwood, N.J., sharing the beach life with all of her grandchildren who came to visit.

Arrangements will include a cremation in North Carolina followed by a celebration and Mass at St. James Catholic Church in Pennington, N.J., which will be determined at a later date. Peg devoted her life to the Lord and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Condolences to the family may be offered at coblewardsmithwilmington.com.
