

WILMINGTON – Marguerite Williamson Chance, 87, of Wilmington, North Carolina, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
She was born March 22, 1929, in Washington, to the late John Williamson and Marguerite Renurick Lamb Williamson.
Marguerite was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church, where she sang in the choir. She delivered “Meals on Wheels”, loved to walk on the beach, do aerobics, spend time with her friends and was an avid reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Louis Chance.
Survivors include her sons, Tim Chance (Jean) and Louis Chance (Brenda); grandson, Christopher Chance; and step-granddaughter, Alyssa Riordan.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1219 Forest Hills Rd., Wilmington, NC 28403.
