CALABASH — Joseph Paul Pinkowski, 75, died at home after a short illness Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born in Stuyvesant, N.Y., May 23, 1941, to the late Vivian Edwards and Theodore Pinkowski.
Mr. Pinkowski was a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Carmen Daughtry of the home; daughter, Stacey Roth (James) of Valatie, N.Y.; son, Joseph Paul Pinksowski II (Yolanda) of Alexandria, Va.; two brothers, Theodore and Robert Pinkowski of Hudson, N.Y.; sister, Irene Buell (Leo) of Kinderhook, N.Y.; and six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will take place in the Outer Banks of North Carolina at a later date.
