SUPPLY — Linda Marguerite Kennison Bell, 78, died Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Born in Washington, D.C., Oct. 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence McBride Kennison and Marguerite Virginia Daffer Kennison.

For over 40 years, Linda taught English, art and creative writing. She enjoyed the second part of her career working with the Washington Freedom of the Women’s United Soccer Association. Upon retiring, she filled her time with extensive travel, writing and crafting, as well as participation in her local church. As an avid quilter, she was twice honored with selections in the Sacred Threads national quilting exhibition.

Surviving are her sons, Deaton Bell, of Atlanta, Ga., and Hunter Bell, of New York, N.Y., her significant other, Donald Gardiner of Supply, N.C., and numerous other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at Camp UMC officiated by the Rev. Richard Vaughn.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the following organizations: Dance for PD, Mark Morris Dance Group, 3 Lafayette Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11217; and/or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
