On Monday, May 15, 2017, our beloved daughter, sister and friend, DeAnne Michelle Christine Verbeck Thompson, 50, was released from her earthly body and passed into heaven free of pain and suffering.
She is survived by her husband, Mark Thompson; parents, Betty Ann Dewey and Richard and Wanda Verbeck; sister, Mary Jo (Joedy) Black; devoted four-legged protector, Shelbee Magnolia; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
She was a woman full of courage and grace with a heart bigger than all of Texas. Her love of friends, family and her fur babies, Shashone and Shelbee, was unrivaled.
In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in memoriam of DeAnne’s lifelong battle with juvenile diabetes.
A memorial Mass will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, May 22, at Basilica Shrine of St. Mary.
Her desire was to have her ashes scattered among the Texas bluebonnets. Her family will carry out her wishes next spring.
