Kathleen Frances Jones, 84, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, peacefully with loved ones by her side. Kathleen was born July 12, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Rose Marrah.
Kathleen grew up with an older sister, Rosemary (deceased), an identical twin sister, Patricia (deceased), and younger sister, Geraldine Gralto, who resides in Arizona.
Kathleen enjoyed spending time as a child at Rockaway Beach with her fireman father, loving mother and three sisters. She married Edward Jones on February 4, 1951. She was the proud mother of Glen, Eileen, Eddie and Kathleen. Her family was always her top priority. Kathleen and Ed raised their children in Baldwin New York. In 1982 they purchased a vacation home in Wilmington, N.C., that their children, grandchildren, friends and extended family members loved and enjoyed. In 1995, she permanently relocated with the love of her life, Ed, to their home in Wilmington.
She is survived by her four children, 13 grandchildren; and her kid sister, Geraldine.
She was always there to all who were troubled. She would often explain, while at her stove making comfort food, that “nobody gets the whole pie,” and “to put your troubles in God’s hands.” Kathleen Frances Jones was a beloved wife, mother and friend to all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at
St. Therese Catholic Church, 209 South Lumina Ave., Wrightsville Beach.
