WILMINGTON — Claudia E. Eastmond, 61, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Eastmond was born Dec. 15, 1955, in Red Bank, N.J., daughter of the late Frank and Iva Pennetti Engelmann. She was a founding member of Pink Heals Cape Fear Chapter, a member and volunteer of Lump to Laughter, Pleasure Island Day of Hope, Wrightsboro United Methodist Church (and member of the church), Witty Knitters and Keansburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Eastmond; three sons, Duane Eastmond, and his wife, Nicole, Ryan Eastmond, and his wife, Kathleen, and Howard Eastmond Jr., and his wife, Jill; grandchildren, Kayla, Timothy, Ryan, Christopher, Jack, Dillon, Isabella and Emma; three sisters, Joyce Chappell, and her husband, Howard, Linda Krochmaluk, and her husband, Walter, and Eileen Folmer; brother, Bob Engelmann, and his wife, Connie; and many extended family members and friends who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Engelmann.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 26, at Wrightsboro United Methodist Church, 3300 North Kerr Ave., Wilmington, (910-762-2583). The Rev. David Hollowell will officiate services. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Pink Heals Cape Fear Chapter.
