WILMINGTON — Myde Marie Graham, 96, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, of natural causes.
Beloved wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend, Myde was born April 24, 1920, in Princeton, N.C., to the late James Herbert Sasser and Rosa Lynch Sasser.
Myde was a longtime member of Winter Park Baptist Church. Myde dearly loved her family and friends and her dog, Lucky. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, cooking and visiting with family and friends.
Myde was preceded in death by her husband, Tracy H. Graham; son, James Eddie Daughtry; grandson, Richard Daughtry; three brothers, James Sasser, Robert Glen Sasser and Donald Wayne Sasser; sister, Dorothy Mae Overbee; niece Betty Sue Coston; and nephew Jeff Sasser.
Myde is survived by daughter-in-law, Char Lynn Daughtry of Clearwater Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Leslie Osborn, and her husband, Scott of Logan, N.M.; grandson, Phillip Daughtry and Margarie of Alamogordo, N.M.; granddaughters, Janet Daughtry of Clearwater, Fla., Kristi Wright, and her husband, Chris, of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Athena Poulos, and her husband, John, of Wilmington, N.C.; grandsons, Kevin Daughtry, and his wife, Lisa, of Midland, Texas, and Tasso Kefalas, and his wife, Laura, of Atlanta, Ga.; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother in-law, Gene Allen, of Wilmington, N.C.; and nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Andrews Valley Chapel, Wilmington, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Phillip Daughtry, Dean Sasser, Michael Greenway, Eddie Gurganious, Chip Moore and Tasso Kefalas.
